DFPI Posts ‘Los Angeles Fire Resources’ Site to Help Residents

The California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI’s) Los Angeles Fire Resources Site can help affected Californians find the help they need. You can learn about the more than 300 mortgage lenders and servicers that have committed to providing relief, along with how to stay safe from frauds and scams.

Providing extensive information/support measures for affected residents, it’s a comprehensive package aiming to address the immediate and long-term needs of those affected by the Los Angeles Fires of 2025, including:

Financial Assistance

  • Homeowners can apply for up to $500,000 to repair or replace primary residences.
  • Renters and homeowners may borrow up to $100,000 for personal property replacement.
  • The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) offers these loans for those in declared disaster areas.

Fraud Prevention
