ArrowHeart Provides Compassion Going Into the Holidays

From stocking shelves in the community to providing immediate relief for the most vulnerable, Arrowhead Credit Union’s ArrowHeart Foundation is fulfilling the foundation’s mission of serving members and local residents with compassion and care.

ArrowHeart Foundation is the credit union’s philanthropic arm, which directly supports members and communities with essential aid across the credit union’s branch footprint. It recently held its Annual Food Collection on November 5, encouraging members of the community to drop by and donate items.

These non-perishable goods went to feed needy households going into the holiday season, with items spanning boxed food, canned meats, and household staples like noodles, macaroni and cheese, and even dry or canned dog food for pets. These donated items made sure ArrowHeart Pantry remains well-stocked going into December.

While this initiative replenished local support networks and food banks as 2025 winds down, it also follows on the heels of a successful 2025 Clothing Collection, which took place during the credit union’s September 24 all-staff meeting. The clothing drive attracted a wide array of good-condition items, including men’s, women’s, children’s, and infant’s clothing, shoes, blankets, and towels — all distributed to local organizations to help prepare for the cooler months ahead.

ArrowHeart Foundation also acts as a resource for individuals facing immediate crisis. In late October, an internal team-member support request came in on behalf of a local family suddenly impacted by financial hardship following a spouse’s work injury. The household had also just taken in its niece, a six-week-old infant. ArrowHeart immediately provided 50 meals, along with diapers, wipes, infant clothing and outfits.

In summer, the ArrowHeart Pantry also addressed an emergency food need for a veteran being supported by LightHouse Social Services. After the veteran had been without food for a week and faced a seven-day wait to access the local food bank, ArrowHeart supplied 20 prepared meals that same day.

In every collection drive and crisis intervention, the ArrowHeart Foundation and Arrowhead Credit Union’s goal is to demonstrate what it means to put heart into community service. Donations play a huge role in supporting credit union members and the broader community, especially those navigating challenging situations and life transitions. Arrowhead appreciates working with its team, its members, and local organizations to support communities across the Inland Empire.
