Compass Community Credit Union members and staff have answered the call to help make a difference in collection food items for the loyal community the credit union serves.
Recently, members were encouraged to stop by any Compass branch and make can-food item donations. All the collected items were donated to the local Food for People in Eureka.
Compass Board Directors, including Dax Williamson (board chair), Wyatt Kneaper (board vice-chair), Joan Tyson (secretary), along with Directors Ross Creech, Patricia Sundberg, and Annalise von Borstel, were on hand to present food items to Carly Robbins, executive director of Food for People. These donated items will be used during the holidays to meet the needs of the local community.
“I am deeply grateful to Compass Community Credit Union for their generous donation of so many essential food items,” Robbins said. “Their support helps us continue to make a positive impact for our community and reminds us how powerful it is when local organizations come together to give back. Thank you for investing in our mission and in the people, we serve.”
Williamson said many in the community have been touched by family and friends in need, and Compass has been proud to support a great cause that works diligently in making a difference. “I’m thrilled that our members, staff, and board came together,” Williamson said. “Thanks to your generosity, many families will have essential food items available during the holidays.”
