Compass Community CU’s Coat Drive Aids Community in Winter

Compass Community Credit Union members and staff recently responded to a local need by helping the community during the early-2026 cold winter months.

Members were encouraged to stop by any Compass branch through the month of January and donate new or gently used coats and jackets. All the collected items were donated to C.A.P.E. & Uplift Eureka Program, which partners with local organizations to arrange distribution of these items to folks in need.

“We are so grateful to Compass Community Credit Union and their members for their generous donation,” said Siena Parrish, Community Outreach Coordinator for C.A.P.E. & Uplift Eureka Program. “All of us at Uplift Eureka are thrilled with the number of coats and jackets that were donated. Their support helps us continue to make a difference to our local community, especially during the cold season. It’s great to see our partners work together to support a worthy cause and positively impact those in need.”

Compass Community Credit Union President and CEO Ray Litchfield said he is proud of the credit union’s members and staff who stepped up to help support a worthy cause.

“Because of their efforts, we were able to provide much needed coats to those in need, right here in our local community,” Litchfield said. “Thank you for your generosity, many individuals will now have essential clothing during cold winter months.”
