The California Housing Finance Agency (CalHFA) is now accepting enrollment applications for lenders interested in participating in the Disaster Rebuilding Assistance Program.
Please visit the Disaster Rebuilding Assistance Program website to learn more about the enrollment process and requirements to participate.
In response to disasters around the state, Governor Gavin Newsom proposed a Disaster Rebuilding Assistance Program to expand access to construction financing for disaster-impacted homeowners. California’s Fiscal Year 2026-27 State Budget officially allocated funds for the program to CalHFA.
The $100 million program will provide mortgage lending tools to support eligible California homeowners looking to rebuild homes that were damaged or destroyed by a qualified disaster, such as the 2025 Los Angeles-area wildfires.
CalHFA will make a formal announcement of program launch once lenders have been enrolled.
