Educational Employees Credit Union (EECU) recently reinforced its commitment to local students and educators through a series of community-focused initiatives spanning from career technical education to direct material support for the region’s newest schools.
In January, EECU representatives joined students and families for the Clovis Unified School District (CUSD) Career Technical Education (CTE) Night. The event served as a showcase for various professional tracks, allowing students to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application.
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the EECU Business Financial Services Pathway. This unique program offers students more than just theoretical knowledge. It provides a platform for hands-on work experience at EECU’s Clovis West branch.
By immersing themselves in a professional banking environment, students gain a head start on their career goals while navigating their future educational paths.
“We loved connecting with students and families to share the opportunities available through our pathway,” an EECU representative stated. “We’re proud to help the next generation explore their potential in the financial sector.”
While focusing on long-term career development in Clovis, EECU’s Sunnyside branch turned its attention to immediate student needs in Sanger. To celebrate the inaugural year of John F. Kennedy Middle School, which opened its doors this past August, the branch organized a significant donation of school supplies.
As a brand-new campus within the Sanger Unified School District, JFK Middle School represents a major milestone for local families. The donation from the Sunnyside branch ensures that students have the essential tools needed to succeed in their new environment, ranging from basic stationery to classroom necessities.
These two events highlight a dual-pronged approach to community service: supporting the infrastructure of education through material donations while simultaneously building professional pipelines through specialized pathways.
