Inclusiv has selected 11 credit unions as recipients of grants through its “Build and Save Matched Savings Initiative” — three of which were awarded to credit unions in California.
The California Credit Union League would like to extend its congratulations to the following credit unions that are among the awardees:
These grants, ranging from $50,000 to $75,000, are designed to help credit unions launch or expand their matched savings programs over the coming year. The initiative, undertaken in partnership with Edward Jones, expands and deepens incentivized savings strategies, particularly within low-income communities. Through this engagement, Inclusiv supports Community Development Credit Unions (CDCUs) in augmenting existing or developing new matched savings strategies, often in tandem with ongoing targeted financial empowerment programming.
The matched savings programs are specifically intended to empower Inclusiv member credit unions to reach and serve underserved households. By offering products and services that build greater financial security, these programs help members advance their financial goals through incentivized savings.
All selected awardee credit unions are Inclusiv members that have demonstrated a strong capacity to deliver a matched savings program. Each recipient either currently provides financial empowerment services, such as financial education or coaching, or has a clear plan in place for how they will integrate these services alongside the matched savings opportunity.
