‘NuvisionCares for Kids’ Clothing Drive Supports Local Families

Nuvision Credit Union has launched its annual NuvisionCares for Kids Clothing Drive, dedicated to providing infant clothing and baby care supplies to local families in need throughout Contra Costa County from July 6-August 3.

The clothing drive is part of Nuvision’s broader “NuvisionCares Helping Kids in Our Community” month. In the Bay Area, Nuvision has partnered once again with White Pony Express, a Contra Costa County nonprofit dedicated to eliminating hunger and poverty, and delivering clothing and goods to neighbors in need.

All collected items will go to support low-income families and children served by White Pony Express’s regional network of partner schools, shelters, and community outreach organizations.

In doing so, Nuvision Credit Union exemplifies what it means to be a community partner, with the clothing drive being a perfect example of that spirit in action. There are Contra Costa County families who are going through difficult economic periods, and receiving aid resonates on a deep level. The Nuvision team has transformed its dedication and service into hands-on care for the local community.

Requested donations focus on baby supplies across three categories: infant apparel, comfort and linens, and daily hygiene products. Donors are invited to contribute new, unwrapped apparel items, including onesies, sleepers, socks, booties, and hats. Additionally, comfort items such as baby bath towels, washcloths, and receiving blankets were requested, alongside daily care necessities including baby wash, lotion, diapers, wipes, and diaper bags.

Nuvision made sure that Bay Area residents have several ways to contribute prior to the August 3 deadline. In-person drop-offs are welcomed during regular business hours at any of Nuvision’s local Contra Costa branches. Donors who prefer to ship items directly are mailing donations to Nuvision Credit Union, and supporters can also shop online via Nuvision’s curated Amazon Wish List, accessible through the credit union’s website, which delivers purchases to its collection hub.

Founded in 2013, White Pony Express is a volunteer-driven organization operating in Contra Costa County with a mission to end hunger and poverty. By rescuing fresh food and distributing high-quality clothing and essentials, White Pony Express delivers hope, care, and dignity to thousands of local residents each year.
