“People Helping People” is the credit union philosophy — and with that mission in mind, Aerospace Federal Credit Union (AFCU) and its members have proudly supported Aerospace Corporation’s Holiday Food and Gift Drive.

AFCU was happy to recently make a donation of $1,000 to the drive, which benefits multiple nonprofit agencies around Southern California.

These organizations provide clothing, gifts, food, and services to foster children, abused children, pregnant women, families requiring mental health services, at-risk military veterans, group homes, the homeless, and others throughout the year.

Additionally, visitors to the credit union have been bringing new and unwrapped holiday gifts for The Salvation Army, placing them in the donation bin next to the credit union’s tree in the lobby.

The Aerospace Corporation consistently partners throughout the year with organizations that support children and families in need. Since many families supported cannot provide gifts for their children on their own, contributions by AFCU members and Aerospace employees are instrumental in making each holiday season special.

In the past, Aerospace employees have always found ways to support those facing food insecurity, which is felt especially hard during the holidays. Throughout the year, Aerospace employees go above and beyond, showing they truly care about their communities.

“We hope this donation helps these people in need have a happy holiday season,” the credit union stated in this year’s announcement.
